Can you post a clearer picture? If it's a BCM then it's mixed with something else or it's a rather poor example. BCM have slate grey legs, not white ones.

Only FRENCH Black Copper Marans have feathers on their legs.

French or English refers to the Standard of Perfection used to judge the birds' quality or conformation, not to the actual birds themselves unless they were imported directly from France.

Could be a hatchery Black Copper Marans. Better pictures would be helpful.

Agreed the pictures leave much to be desired. At first glance it does appear to be a Black Copper Marans rooster that adheres to the UK SOP requiring clean shanks/legs versus the French and American SOP that call for feathered legs. Both varieties were originally imported and before APA breeders began trying to get them accepted both varieties were bred, and often together. I had two lines of clean-legged Cuckoo Marans and one feathered. The Black, Black Copper and Birchin lines all had sparse feathering.
