Please can I have some help with identifying the breed of this rooster? We’re in the U.K.

My parents recently rehomed him and 8 hens from very poor conditions. He has various issues including an awful breast blister which we are working on, but his temperament is wonderful so far (he arrived about 10 days ago). We had decided not to have another rooster after the last one, Pingu, started escaping and chasing my ageing mum around the garden... but people in the village told her they would eat this boy if she didn't take him... so here we are!

We have named him Robin aka Robin Hood. His eyes are fine but pics aren't great quality (had to downsize to get them to upload) and his face is a bit dirty, just in case you think he just has black holes!

Wrong coloration for a Bielefelder, which is why I didn't suggest them. 🙂 Bielefelders are crele, which is genetically wildtype partridge plus barring. That means the red and gold coloring is only in the hackle, saddle, and shoulder area, as well as a little bit in the flights. This guy is more of a barred incomplete Columbian pattern or maybe barred black with heavy red and gold leakage. Notice his chest, thighs, butt fluff, and most of his wings and sides are plumed in a reddish color. Those parts would be more grayish (black with barring) on a proper Bielefelder, maybe with just a little bit of red. He also does not look pure for the barring gene based on how thin the white bars are in his feathers, where a pure Bielefelder rooster should be pure for the gene.
