Thanks for the info! I'm new to owning chickens and this skinny guy showed up on day 3 and wouldn't shut up! He's very nice and will even perch on my hand like a hawk and let me show him off.

He's beautiful just needs some veggie scraps maybe some fruit and some love. He'll be a big boy when he gets some weight on him. I love my roosters but my neighbors complain about the neighborhood roos' making a racket, keeping them awake. What can a person do?

Oh BTW I love to hear them talk to each other. Each one has its own distinct call song, so awesome.

Agree with the others that he is an American Game Bird, but I just wanted to add that he is one of the most beautiful roosters I have seen in a while! And it's a plus that he's friendly!
