Your right with Wyandottes having yellow legs. But Orpingtons have white legs.

Where did you get her from?
Single comb and feathered legs in columbian pattern and not a cochin sounds like a mix breed.
Do you think that's what it is?Ther actually is a Colombian marans. Not common though.
Do you think that's what it is?
I know there is such a thing but I would think it would be near impossible to receive one and not know that's what it is.
One of the reason I ask where they got it from.
Like someone said columbian is a very popular pattern so hard to be able to say for sure what it is.
Playing the odds it is most likely a cross.
I actually have a Sussex that has some feathers on its legs and its from pure stock that I've worked with for a couple years.
Could be something like that or even something that shouldn't have a single comb but had one pop up.
Hard to say for sure but I was going with most likely instead of something that is ultra rare.
Mine was a coronation. I got mine as lights split to coronation so probably came in with the lights. Its common for Sussex to have a little leg feathering. Even more common in Light Sussex. I even get it sometimes in my Coronation Sussex "I cull for it of course".
I wonder where the feathered legs come from? Maybe light Brahma somewhere in the crosses to make the original Light Sussex? Its common for Sussex to have a little leg feathering. Even more common in Light Sussex. I even get it sometimes in my Coronation Sussex "I cull for it of course".
