Woohoo! Congrats! I love my OEs. They are pretty and add variety to my egg basket at the same time!Just heard back from Meyer and the free chick that week was an Olive Egger! I am ecstatic! Had no idea they came in this beautiful color either.
The weird thing is I purchased an olive egger in that order too and the two look nothing alike. The other is black with copper streaks on the neck and small crest like a legbar.

OEs do not have an SOP. They are Easter Eggers that...you guessed it, lay olive. No SOP and no guidelines except that they lay green. A lot of the new OEs have CCLB in their blood, but they don't always do. They are the mutts of the chicken world and the key to my heart. I have Welsummers for dark eggs. Welsummers are good birds as well and they are the layers of the dark brown eggs.Beautiful eggs! I'm working my way up to a rainbow basket. Hoping to add in some black copper marans next year.
I'll have to get a welsummer too! I swear my partner is going to kill me for collecting all these chickens. I got a green queen and a salmon faverolle recently that I am excited about. The SF is the most adorable thing I've ever seen. We named her peanutI have Welsummers for dark eggs. Welsummers are good birds as well and they are the layers of the dark brown eggs.
