My husband found this duck at his factory and I currently have her quarantined. Does anyone have any clue what breed or breed mix she is? Def looks like Muscovy but maybe mixed with something else. Tons of green iridescent feathers on her back. Thanks

Muscovys don't hybridize with other breeds very well, and any that hatch are sterile.
She looks like a pure Muscovy to me. Good job rescuing her!

Awesome!! Thank you so much! The feather pattern was messing with me I only have all white Muscovys. Here’s pics of the parking lot puddle she was living in. Thinking 3-4 wk quarantine should be safe

I think its a young chocolate barred muscovy. Mine looked like yours as an adolescent but then molted in the fall and lost his black cap and chocolate neck and most of his barred feathers on his chest. He now only has chocolate barred feathers on his back under his wings and on his under carriage! I Learned through this ducks forum that barred muscovies often lose their barring when they first molt

Thank yous all so much! I’m so glad we could give her a home and out of the factory parking lot life! Once quarantined life is over she’ll fit right in with my flock
