What breed is your broody?

My one and only broody hen EVER is a very poorly bred Marsh Daisy. She's a horrible example of the breed, but a very good mother...

Betty was broody on page ten and she's at it again eggs are due to hatch in 7 days...

Our broody Millie is a buff orpington. She gets broody every spring like clock work, and she's a great mother!

My latest broody, a rumpless Coronation Split Sussex - Now taking care of a few Araucana chicks she hatched out. The actual mother Araucana was also sharing some time to take care of them, but she took over.

please tell me if she makes a good momma or not my barred rock not so good at mothering but good protecting her nest when she was broody she just always runs away from him (out of 6 eggs only one was fertiel lol)

big black cochin. she is almost always broody. Her tiny brown eggs are not enough motivation to try and break her from it so I let her be broody all the time.

We have an American Game/EE cross that has gone broody 5 times since January. She's sitting on 2 porcelain d'uccle eggs right now. They should hatch next Thursday or Friday.
