What breed of dog has this kind of hair on his back?

I'm trying to figure out what his dad had in him. So that I can figure out the best techniques to train him.

It looks like some kind of retriever hair. I might be wrong. There are retrievers out there with curly hair. Can not remember right now the name.

He could have. Vet thought retriever? Up until now, never saw it. Here are a couple other pictures if that helps. I'm a bad photographer.

Look into chesapeake bay retrievers, some have the waivy coat, can come in that color, and have light eyes.

We had a black Lab that was part curly coat retriever. The hair on her hind end and part way on her back looked exactly like that.

My Austrailian Shepard has that kind of hair/fur.

i would say a chessie or curly coat retreiver mix...
from his markings id say a chessie or curly coat x lab x something else (mabe dobe or shepherd?)
