What Breed Of Snake Is This?

Don't worry, that only happens around my house. Oh and jumping spiders on the ceiling. Ask WickedNerd, I get hostile if you touch my jumpers.

Do you also get tree frogs launching their moist little bodies at you at night? How about corn snakes dropping onto you in the dark?

Texas snakes

15 foot Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake. Largest ever caught on record.
After seeing this, I did a little research, and learned the following:
One bite from a snake this large contains enough venom to kill over 40
full grown men.
The head alone is larger than the hand of a normal sized man.

I welcome snakes on our property, though I've yet to see any here. That's okay, got plenty of 'em in the house to play with.

Fat bugger was hanging around my cellar... then of course he went INTO my cellar. Probably making his way into my bed..

(my bedroom is connected to this cellar..)
Hubby was going to kill it...

I told him to leave it alone!

(because i dont think its dangerous...)
Just wondering what breed it is...
PLEASE tell me it eats mice and rats.... and not cats..
I think hes kinda cute...

it is a northern water snake and they are non-venomous
