What breed(s) are my pigs?

Is it normal for pigs to roam? I know they’re good at finding escape routes on a fence.

My yard is plenty big to let them roam, I just worry that it can get hot and sometimes they don’t find a way back inside the pen to get water.

Should I just start leaving accessible water everywhere for them? I already leave water for my chickens, but not the same as for pigs since they have big mouths not long tongues like dogs or beaks like birds lol

If they learn where to get out they'll return there to get out regularly. They will roam especially as you've not had them long. Its best to keep fixing the spots where they get out so they have to stay in. Depending on what state your in free roaming pigs without ear tags can legally be shot if they get off your property. A friend of mine recently lost a pet potbelly boar pig that got out and onto the neighbors property and the neighbor shot the pig.

I live in Georgia.

For the most part they’ve been staying in the area. We have a decent size place where they can roam and still be on our property, but I will try to fix the pen of any weak spots.

They seem to either sleep a lot, soak in the kiddy pool or roam. Maybe because I won’t give em more than I should to eat. I always see them eating plants and such when I catch them roaming.
