What breed would you say is the best layer???

White leghorn is generally considered to be the best layer. They are, however, supposed to be "flighty" and, in my opinion, aren't the best choice if you want them to also be a pet.

Which are the best? Does quality of life for the hens count, too?

My Barred Rocks are 10 for 10 the past 2 days, and averaged 8 of 10 the past week. Half of the eggs are very large.

Must be the spent grain from my buddy's home brewing operation that I've been treating them to the past week.
