So, I have this one hen who I have had since got chickens(3 1/2 years!) AND she is 4 (almost 5) years old. I've been trying to figure our what she is since we got her from good friends as a 1yr old. They dint what she was, only a mix... I was thinking a Jersey giant mix(they had a lot of Jersey giants), a cocin mix, (she has a few scrawny leg feathers) or maybe a partridge rock mix? She looks,a little skinnier and her tail isnt like it usually is because she is ust finishing up a moltView attachment 1164275 View attachment 1164282 View attachment 1164275 View attachment 1164282

Hello @Silkiesarefluffydinos,

Welcome to Backyard Chickens! Nice to meet you. First I would like to ask: What kind of comb does your hen have? If she has a pea comb, which looks like this-

Then she is most likely a Partridge Brahma. Due to those feathered legs that aren't overly huge but are big, I think she definitely has Brahma in her. (Not really Cochin).
If not, she could have the following:

  • Brown Leghorn genes.
  • Welsummer genes.
  • Brahma genes.
She is a very pretty hen by the way!

Oh, and if she has a single comb... It might be something different...

Her comb is really weird. It's Kind Of A Single comb, But At THE Same Time A Strait comb. It's half and half. I'll get a picture of it when I can

Looks like a single comb. Which I just re-read your post about it being a single/strait comb... I didn't see it before but they are both the same.
