What breed?

Oh ok and did those pictures help?
Those pictures are why I think you have a mix of kinds. I was able to see several colors of down and feathers, several comb types, and several foot colors.

I think you might have chicks from several different breeds.
Or else you have barnyard mixes, where each chick might have parents who are different breeds, and none of them are purebreds at all.

Since you said you hatched them, do you know anything about the parent breeds?
What color eggs did they hatch from?

Umm some were white and one had a really dark brown egg with darker spots and some were cream colored. No I dont know about their parents

Those egg colors must have come from several kinds breeds of hen.

The chicks might all have the same father, or they might have several different fathers, but I think you have "barnyard mix" chicks.

Barnyard mixes can be nice chickens, but we cannot say what breed they are, because they do not belong to any particular breed.

I know that was bad brooder, wich was why it was temporary. I'm sorry if I was being rude. I have different pictures and two exact post so I got confused and thought weeg was talking about the other post cus I have close ups there
The dirty water and floor entirely covered in feces didn’t look too temporary.

Floor entirely covered? I see chick food on the floor of the laundry basket, and some droppings, but I would assume the chicks can make that much mess in an hour or so. They're messy little things, especially with that many of them.

(Comparing time stamps on various posts: the picture of chicks in a better brooder was posted a little more than 4 hours after that first post of chicks in a laundry basket.)

Was talking about this one. Apologies for my rudeness. https://www.backyardchickens.com/attachments/20220402_090841-jpg.3049634/

I had not noticed that picture until you pointed it out (probably was in one of the other threads that got combined-- I had only been reading one of them, so anything from the others was new to me.)

I thought the laundry basket was temporary (first post), and the bigger space with pink paper on the floor was the better brooder (currently on the second page somewhere.)

Oh ok!

She is just offering advice. Weeg is very knowledgable. And I understand. You havent been on here very long. Some people don't come across too well. Weeg just wants to make sure that chick raising is easiest for you and safer and better for your chicks.
Good post, I apologize if I came off and frank, just trying to help and get my info across. :)
