What breed?

I got this beautiful rooster last year and I would love to get some hens for him in the proper breed. Can anyone tell me exactly what he is? I thought possibly Old English?

Might anyone have a clue or could take a guess please? I am placing an order tomorrow and would like to include ladies for this guy.

He's a mixed breed.

Oh geese, he isn't supposed to be, he came from a local store that gets supposed "pure breeds" from a hatchery. Which breeds do you think he may be a mix of? Any suggestions on a nice hen to go with him then?

The color is crele, but I don't think any purebred comes in crele with muffs and those light legs. You could find out what hatchery the store gets stock from and look on their website or call them.

Thanks, I guess getting him pure bred hens to breed with doesn't really matter anyway, since he is a mix.
