What breeding projects are you working on or planning to work on?

I am working on Lavender Faverolles Bantams and Lavender Salmon Faverolles Bantams with one of the most well know breeders of faverolles in the US so very excited about that. He is working on LF in those colors. Then I plan on working on Mottled Faverolles. To do this I also need to hatch some pure black faverolles so that I have more pure blacks to cross with. I only have one pair of them. I will also be hatching a few replacement blue salmon and salmons. I am also planning to add a trio of white faverolles just for fun at the end of the summer. I may end up selling all but one or two roosters as I am going to college but right now the Lavender project is front and center my Lavender D'uccles rooster is getting here next week!

Well Right now I have some bantam Buckeyes under a broody and as of tonight ill have some of my own Cochin in the incubator.

I dont know if its a project or anything but I'm going to be working on getting some SQ Speckled Sussex going so that the world of sussex can have some! I'm also really going to be working hard on my bantam ameraucanas and my bantam cochins. I dont know what I'm going to do with the seramas yet. That just might be too much for me

Working basicaly on breeding pure haitian plumed but lso into making a breed for the bahamas. called Bahamas Blue Blood Chicken ( standard ).

Working on getting a darker egg on my Barnevelders. Thinking of outcrossing to a dark egg layer other than Welsummer. maybe a black Marans. Will take a while to bring back the lacing but I think it will be a better cross. BTW, does anybody know by all the birds that went into the development of the Barnevelder how they got the dark egg to begin with?

Partridge cochins. Love the breed, love the color!

I also have some blue & black cochins I picked up from a breeder, so probably BBS too. Probably some cochin crosses with my sex links and easter eggers

I am hatching some eggs, due to hatch May 2nd, from my Maran hens and Araucana rooster too. I'd love to see some pics of yours. What would you breed to get the golden color egg? Is your rooster tufted and rumpless? I was just wondering if I might get some rumpless chicks or tufts. Do you also raise Araucana's? I'm still looking for a hen or two.

Right now, I have my Black Marans and a blue Marans hen in with my Lavender Ameraucana roosters. I am working for Lavender olive eggers. I can't wait to see chicks from them.

Working on Mille Fleur and Porcelian Brahma bantams. And hopefully some coronation LF brahmas. Some day. If I can ever find some stock.

Establishing my Java and Buckeye flocks. Javas: one black(baby of the pair I just lost), 6 Auburns(so far), and ??? Mottleds. Buckeyes: LF 5 hens and babies on the way in May, Bantams ??? ???s to be determined in less than a week.
