What breeds? And both Pullets?

I think she said the black and white one could be a cuckoo Maran mixed with a lavender Orpington, but I don’t see the Orpington
Very unlikely :) The beard/muffs are coming from somewhere. Being part Cuckoo Marans is a possibility though.

An olive egger is actually different from an easter egger- an EE can lay any color (blue, green, pink, brown) whereas an OE can only lay green eggs.
Yeah, but technically an Easter egger can also lay green eggs. So an Easter egger is also an olive egger. Am I making sense today??

Both cockerel and pullet look to have a single copy of the barring gene which makes me believe that only their father was a Cuckoo Marans :) Mixed with what, I couldn't tell you!
Yeah, pretty sure both my Marans are pure bred French cuckoo Marans, I have three pullets (one with a bad leg) and one cockerel

Woah, I thought EEs just laid shades of blue!
Nope! Because they are mutts, you can have a bird that lays blue, green, brown, or pink, and still have it be an easter egger.

Well I suppose an easter egger that happens to lay green is an olive egger, but not an easter egger that lays blue, brown, or pink. Not all olive eggers are easter eggers. If you're buying an olive egger, they'll usually be a blue layer crossed with a brown layer (example: legbar with marans) to create the green egg coloring.
