What breeds are the

Two hens I might be picking up from my in-laws.... what kind might they be? I really like them both.

They look like a Barnevelder and a Wyandotte to me.

The black and white one is a Silver laced Wyandotte and the brown one could be a barnevelder.

I highly doubt that the dark one is a Barnevelder. She is not NEARLY dark enough to be a barnevelder, and from what I'm seeing in the pic she doesn't have double lacing. My barnevelder from Ideal hatchery has much better color and lacing than that. I think it's a mutt.

The other is a silver laced wyandotte.

I think the dark one could definitely be a hatchery-quality Barnevelder. I have one from Ideal that has worse doulble-lacing than her (and one from the same hatch that has better, go figure).

The brown one is either a really, really poor quality Barnevelder or a mutt.

The silver is a Silver Laced Wyandotte.
