Sorry to barge in on a really old post, but I have heard that if you feed a white or cream egg laying hen turnips, it will over time, help her lay pink eggs

I wonder if it matters if they're cooked or raw.

My blue jersey giant just started laying and her eggs looks super pink. But upon closer inspection, it is a tan/beige egg with a chalky coating which makes it look pink. Also the speckles are either pinkish white or lavender
