What breeds to use for hatching eggs?

Frizzles are cool! I have heard that you don't want to breed them together. Something about 2 copies of the frizzled gene is bad. There is a frizzled thread you can search for on BYC.
Silkies are like any other chickens but they don't handle extremes as well. There are several threads on silkies as well. They will give you more info then I can
