actually, lots of creatures eat other creatures' eggs so it seems probable that our ancestors just ate them before rational thought about "oooh I wonder..." kicked in.

(dammit, I swore I'd never post on one of these threads againever since one particular creationist seemed to take it personally that I pointed out the fact that chickens were bred by humans from jungle fowl thus since the fowl are birds it was still the egg that came first whether you're a creationist or not)
