What Came First?

I brought home 6 chickens in May & didn't start getting eggs until late October.
So, I have decided the chicken came first.

The chickens.

You gotta have two to Tango and without fertilization, no chick would hatch from the aforementioned egg to continue to produce more eggs.

An egg comes from a chicken that we can prove but the first chicken who really knows... God. The first egg needs to be hatched in the the natural order of things. Creation is a miracle unto itself therefore defying natural occurances so it very well may be one of those questions where you must rely on faith... kind of like taking a check from someone to the bank for redemption.

Every time I see this question, I remember an adult-humor comic pane with the caption "Well, I guess we finally answered THAT question!"

I had been on the history channel and they said it was dinosuars that laid the eggs and the bird have dinosaur DNA in them STILL so I think it was the egg of course if you think it this way you have to have a egg to have a chicken but then you need to have a chicken to have a egg but then agian if there was not egg there is no chicken and if no chicken no egg so if you didn't have either where in the world would a chicken come from Ok so maybe it would evolve from something else maybe a lizard or Some thing that lays eggs other them a dinosuar.

OK I am not very smart but just in thought. I know dinosuars woere big lizards right but what if there were no dinosaurs the where could then evoled from.

I hope this is not lock I find this very interseting.

The chicken...
They evolved from dinos... which evolved from..etc..etc..etc..

They share DNA with dinosaurs, whether it is actual "Dino DNA" or not though depends on who you ask most likely. Humans and Chimps share 95% of the same DNA (most people say 98, but this decreased with new studies), and I believe somewhere around 83% of DNA with rats. This information can be read in many different ways I am sure, as for evolution vs creationism this topic would probably be best to steer clear of.

I have debated many times on the topic of evolution and creationism, I hold to the belief of a God and creation even after all of the things I have looked over scientifically and speaking with some rather knowledgeable atheists. But neither side can offer proof to back up their point really, macro-evolution lacks scientific data (there are many claims but all can be dis-proven or at least deemed unreliable. Micro-evolution and macro-evolution are not the same.) and creationism lacks scientific data to prove there is a God. It's mainly a subject you have to decide your own belief on.
