Is this safe for ducks to eat if i put on the fence row of the pen?

I just planted blackberries on the outside of my run fence. They don't climb, should get some fertilizer from the hens and most of the fruit will be higher than they can reach.

I hope your run mesh is very strong!
I hope it's strong enough!

We have hardware cloth attached to a chain link fence that is partially buried. But the pumpkins are the sugar pumpkins so they won't get overly large.

Once it reaches the top we'll secure some type of pergola ordeal for it to grow horizontally across.

I planted a grape vine next to my coop last year and trained this year's growth in front of the coop (used zip ties to hold the vines to the hardware cloth). I'm very pleased with the amount of shade it's providing. I have another grape vine (same variety) planted in another spot in the yard, and it's amazing how much bigger the leaves are on the one next to the coop!

Grapes! They love the leaves as well as the grapes! After they've cleaned up the grape leaves within reach, they spend a lot of the day, jumping up to grab the higher ones. It's hysterical watching them.
