What color did you paint your coop?

This is my coop (I'm obsessed with purple) and a small portion of the fenced off area we have for our chickens. They fly up and over the fence when they want to roam or come up to be with the dogs and cats on the porch and sometimes we open the gate to let them roam the full yard. We bought the building and converted it into a coop for my chickens. There is also a window on the backside for air cross flow and a full size double door on the right. We put insulation on the walls and ceiling to help keep it cool in the summer and warm in the winter. And cheap vinyl roll flooring on the floor and walls for easy cleaning. Don't mind the spot without any lattice. We had the ramp there until we installed the automatic door.

I always check the lowes clearance/return paint rack because one- I’m frugal. And two -I can’t decide on a color(s)! So my paint chooses itself. :)
We named our coop The Clucking Cabana since the colors were so “beachy.”
I was nervous it was too bright (and bold) at first, but its such a happy color and the coop now brightens the whole area.

We live in a 250 year old house in New Hampshire. It's cedar shingled and all trim is painted a flat very dark brown. We designed the coop to blend with the 18thc. house and painted it the same color on the outside. We even leaded the window, as we have some of same in our home! We added period style tin lantern "night light" and window box.
Inside we wanted a cheerful 'party' for the hens. We painted everything a scrubbable sunshine yellow and made nestbox and window curtains out of blue and white gingham! We love it! (Our chickens have NEVER picked at or eaten any paint).

Mine is off-white with dark brown trim, exactly like my house. I wanted it to blend in. The inside is the same color scheme, with the nest boxes painted the dark brown and the rest of it the off-white.

My father was a big believer in paint as a wood protector, so I painted each piece twice, all sides, before putting it all together. Talk about obsessive! :D

Love the Chickville NH sign! We live about 1 mile from there!!!

Good morning! Lets talk paint colors!
What color did everyone paint the outside of their coops?
Feel free to post a picture!

My husband built me a chicken coop for my ladies and I still need to paint it. Looking for some inspiration!
Eggplant purple because it's the egg plant! Oh, and purple is my favorite color.

I just finished a little coop and painted it bright blue with black trim since it's very visible...because those are the paints I had laying around waiting to find a use for.
All the rest of my coops are unfinished wood. They're all small...just big enough to sleep in if wanted on those rare rare cold nights.
