I agree, it just looks like a bad quality partridge. I personally think that it is very pretty, but it's just not close to the standard for partridge silkies.

What color/pattern do partridge silkie chicks have? This is an easy one, and everyone has missed it. This bird does not have the correct allele on the E locus to be partridge, much less other genes.
I said above, you can tell by the down color in the second picture. Like I said, this is an easy one.
You don't think what? I said above, it looks like blue bred to buff, which is a genetic mess.
