What color is this silkie? Found photo online.

I found this photo on a silkie Facebook group. All photo credits to the owner.

What is this color? People commented that he's a blue with red leakage, but in that case where are the white patches coming from? Others were saying calico, but what are the genetics behind calico?

Also while we're on the topic of color, would my Cloud here be considered a red pyle? He's getting some small red feathers in the crest too.

If cloud is Dominant White X Red Duckwing he would be considered a true red pyle.

Splash Calico: AKA: Calico is the result of breeding 2 Blue Partridge together.

He doesn't look like the typical calico, but he could very well be.

If cloud is Dominant White X Red Duckwing he would be considered a true red pyle.

He probably isn't. I know one of the parents is dominant white but the other is a mystery. His egg was shipped to me and I think the pictures they sent me were outdated or at least didn't include all their birds. I also got blue cuckoo and buff from the same batch as Cloud. I honestly have no idea what colors the parents were.
