Good morning! I'm sorry if this is posted in the wrong area, but I have a self blue (lavender) ameraucana rooster (purebred from a breeder, not a hatchery chick) that I plan to use to cover a marans hen. The marans hen is completely black with no coppering

I'm wondering what chick colors i would get if I hatched out her eggs?

He will also be covering light brahmas and barred rocks, if anyone could also figure out the colors I'd get from those pairings I'd be super appreciative!

Thanks in advance! Pictures of two of our hens for attention

I'm far from an expert on this stuff, so happy to be corrected, but I think you'll get barred male chicks from the Barred Rock and the rest will be black. All should carry one copy of the lavender gene, meaning it doesn't show but will be passed on to 50% of their offspring (where, again, it won't show unless they also get a copy of lavender from the other parent).

Lavender is a recessive gene that turns feathers that would normally be black to lavender when the chicken has two lavender genes at that gene pair. He will give one Lavender gene to all of his offspring, not enough by itself to have any effect. For your matches just consider him a black rooster. Since he is a pure Ameraucana he should be pure for the blue egg gene. He will give all of his offspring a blue egg gene.

You should get solid black chicks. The eggs will be green, possibly a deep olive green.

He will also be covering light brahmas
Again, you should get solid black chicks. The eggs should be a light green, not very dark.

and barred rocks
This is the fun one. You should get black sex links. The girls will be solid black. The boys will be barred when they feather out. At hatch the boys will have a white spot on their head, the girls will not. Again the eggs should be a lighter green.
