What could be wrong with my chicken?

About a week ago I noticed my chicken wasnt acting herself. She was walking slow, yellow runny poop in the hen house, not digging for bugs when I let her out, she couldnt jump up on the 2x6 I have leading out of her coop. Someone suggested vent gleet so I treated for that because she had all the signs. Well I went out last night and she was roosting beside the feed bin and she always roosts inside the coop or on the perch. I picked her up to place her on the perch and could literally pick her up with one hand and feel her bones. My other chicken is fine and not acting strange at all. Has any ever dealt with this? There is only 1 chicken vet in my area and they are completely booked up.

When you pick her up, is there any swelling in her abdomen? Runny yellow poop along with abdominal swelling is often an indication of internal laying. That tends to be a chronic issue, but some people put their hens on antibiotic to control any infection that's arisen. Would need to be an antibiotic that can be used for e-coli infections, such as Baytril. Not advocating one way or another, but that's just what I've seen people do. Good luck!

Have you treated for worms and/or coccidiosis?
No I havent. Can I treat for gapeworms and rounds worms together? Reading about them makes me think she could have one or the other. When I brought her in to treat for the vent gleet, she was gasping a little

I personally don’t know since I’ve never dewormed my chickens. They free range and I give em lots of watermelon and pumpkins and have never had an issue.

but this year they can’t free range so I’ll be deworming them most likely. But currently I have no experience with that.

I never have either. Mine are free range unless no one is going to be home because we have a lot of hawks and coyotes. I didnt see any works in their poop but then again idk if they can disappear or not before i look. I read it could be gapeworm but idk. I am going to treat for that and also get some vitamins for her today and see if that helps at all.

Have you seen any blood in their poop?
When my chickens got Coccidiosis last year one lost a lot of weight and was all bones. I managed to save one but lost the one that was skin and bones.
