What cross breed do you think this is?

Don't regular silkies normally have walnut combs? And aren't their earlobes purple?
I have a silkie with a single comb from a hatchery. Since the single comb is recessive, it can show sometimes when both parents have a heterozygous genotype . This is poor breeding practice, but it's a common flaw among hatchery-bred silkie. Silkies also have blue ears :)

That is the strangest comb I have ever seen, more like a hood, I don't think this is poor quality, it is a mix, and his feet look bad, swollen or scaly mites - poor thing.

Yes he does look in bad shape. My daughter picked him up about 2 weeks and there is also a hen in similar condition. They both feel horrible to hold. How can I tell if its scaley mites or a moult?
