I have a few different sets going right now...one went into Lockdown today(split Lav Bantam Cochins),2nd goes in on Saturday(B/B/S Bantam Cochins),3rd is 15 days(one lone Sebbi egg) ,4th is 10days(5 ducks) & 5th is 7days( 6 Sebbi Geese)

This is my very first hatch!!! I am a henaholic and I love my birds. I am hatching Black Copper Marans and some Millie Fluer D'uccle eggs. I had a total of 20 eggs and after candling on day 10, we lost 5. We cracked them to all yolks. These are shipped eggs from eggbid so we will see how it goes, Im starting to get excited and nervous!! We are on day 15.

My eggs went into lockdown last night at 6 pm so I'm at the end of the 19th day. So far so good. I've got 12 eggs in a homemade incubator that hubby made like he did for science projects when he taught science in KS. All I can do is wait, wait and wait some more.

I'm on day 13 with 11 easter eggers and one 1/2 buff minorca and 1/2 who knows which hen, from a whoops the rooster got into the hen pen. I collected about 10 from them after the whoops but after candleing, only one was developing.

I'm on day 3 with 14 bbs orp eggs. It's the worst. I had a temp spike last night and I know it will be several days before I will be able to see how much damage was done. I'll chill out after day seven...but I find the uncertainty in the first few days to be some kind of self-inflicted torture.
