Yep, that's a male. I hate to tell you, but what everyone else said is very true.... He just wont make it much longer, I've seen people try to keep them alive before and it's not long and they have to be set right in front of their food and water.

Exactly agree 100% I've seen people try to keep them alive and it's just not humane this bird was born to be culled it's what he was bred for sadly you like him but if he starts to look lethargic or in any kind of pain the kind thing to do is put him downBut you also need to make sure that your not just keeping a suffering bird alive.....
