We have a pear tree looks like ours here it is close to 85 years old the fruit trees all planted by the same folks that built the home
In 1930

Mostly watering. Recently canned spiced peaches, peach jam, jalapeños, dill pickles, and mixed pickles. The jalapeños and hot chili pepper used in mixed pickles all from my garden. Some cucumber. My green peppers are growing for a second round, still some tomatoes, and zucchini. My herbs are doing well like basil, peppermint, spearmint, sage, and dill. I used my own dill in some canning. Sugar snap peas growing. My calendula grown from seed is blooming.

We also had time to start filling compost bins some more and add a 4x4 bed. The 4x4 bed will be for planting fall garden for the chicks. This weekend hope to add 4x8 garden bed for us.

We ate those potatoes as microwaved baked potatoes with broccoli garlic and cheese on top. They had a really mild flavor, not much of that potato tang, or heavy starchiness. Really light, very delicate, fluffy texture. The skin was really thin and good tasting. A lot less elephant hide scabbing on these than on the red norlands. Yield was a little smaller, but bigger potatoes all around. All around I think I like these potatoes.
