What did you do in the garden today?

Morning all need to get in garden cut some things back for a salad tonight
have lettuce of two types up herbs most are perennial

6 feet is too tall for me . Remember I’m Wee Farmer Sarah, LoL! My pole beans are stringless green beans.

Almost too tall for me too. I had to bundle up the string to toss it over the cross bar to bring it back over. I missed/threw short about 30 pct of the time. My pole beans are “Good Mother Stallard” a dry bean for soups.

Now, if my area around the raised beds wasn’t a muddy mess, these could work!!

I planted 8 more black beauty egg plants. The first ones I planted are getting eaten up by like tiny black round bugs with a kind of hard shell. They jump kind of like a flea does. Am trying to see what I have around the house that I could use to net these new plants so they have a chance of growing and producing some egg plant for me.
Also got a little bit of mowing done before the sky turned black and the winds whipped up and the rain let loose! I know we have a couple of very long branches about the diameter of my arm that came down.

Not good we are to have light rain but the fire danger is huge here one of our driest springs the last 2 years makes it all the worse like this in 1946 also
