It looks like you need to harvest the peas. After the plant matures to the point it is not producing new peas, it will start to die off. Just normal. Peas are more of an early spring plant. In your area pea season is about over. You didn't do anything wrong, that's just the nature of the plant. You have a few left on the plant, just pick them and toss them in a stir fry.
