Oh Penny, so sorry to hear that - it's so hard to lose a pet.No she maremma sheepdog finally learned Dna, no Raudy was a rescue we took on 7 years ago he was corgi x shelti already 7 to 10 years old cute as get out and just sweetie he had a stroke like 3 days ago could not use his back legs but we could use a rolled feed bag under to help him now this morning he could not focus anymore and front legs quit working BF took him out he layed in grass we knew it was time he left as he got here on my lap.... 2nd day of field trip. My Mom called in the morning ( while I was getting ready for the kids to come fishing) to ask me to come get her because she could go home today. I told her I couldn't because I would be at the field trip till about 4. I thought the shuttle would take her home because it's on the same campus. She said the doctor said no, she would have to wait until tomorrow to go by shuttle. (my niece ended up being able to pick her up). Then my daughter called to tell me about the emergency dentist appointment and while on the phone she knocked the 140 ounce liquid laundry soap over and it broke open and spilled ( almost all of it!) into the washing machine on top of the freshly washed towels! She was in tears because she had to leave for work soon plus she wasn't sure how to clean it up without causing an overflow of soap bubbles. I told her I would go by after the field trip and take care of it for her.
Then while at her house our friend's gf called to say that our friend, Craig, went to Urgent Care on his way home from our house. Urgent Care ended up sending him by ambulance to the ER ( because his EKG showed he was in Afib and had abnormalities that they wanted checked out immediately. ( We just thought he had pneumonia because of his horrible cough!) At the hospital they did another EKG ( don't know the results yet) and a chest x-ray ( it was normal). His heart rate was 154, then lowered to 125. Doctor was going to give him medication. They are keeping him overnight.
In the midst of all this, my eldest son called to say that his jeep had broken down on the side of the road while on his way to see his PO. It turns out that he doesn't have to be there until Wednesday, so he has a day to figure out what is wrong with his jeep and fix it. ( He thought it was Tuesday).
I finally got home around 7:30 this evening. It took 3 hours to get rid of the suds in the towels and the washing machine!
So, no time to garden today!
