What did you do in the garden today?

No expert here, but just with an opinion. Not due to ether of causes,,,, I just think stem color is different than leaf color. They are definitely not overcrowded yet :thumbsup

Okay phew. I’m always worried about over crowding since one time I had garlic planted too close together in a pot and they didn’t grow.

I just got my order of "granular Mycorrhizae". I'll touch it ito the roots of the plants I transplant. It is supposed to help with getting more nutrients into the roots. That stuff is expensive, so I went with a small size and one with only 4 species, just to see if it might add benefit. Might not see any results this year. And for those planning a no-till garden, this benefits from no-tilling because the Micorrhizae create strands within the soil...obviously destroyed when lots of turning/tilling.

Aloha Gardeners!
Wow, this thread moves fast! Great to see garden fences and tilling... everything looks absolutely fantastic!!!
Waimea town celebration was wrapped up on Sunday. We enjoyed a few baseball games, rodeos, fundraising dinners. Good fun.
The last few days I have been obsessing over new chicks, raking moonscapes, trapping wild chickens (and relocating) and some watering of garden. It's almost hot again already
:( :hmm :(
Girls are laying great- I got eggs galore. All happy and healthy and loving the new rooster.
My zucchini has powdery mildew probably because i have been covering it with a sheet at night and it looks sad. I will spray with baking soda and trim. Already picked a few tomatoes.- awesome! -though they are on the smaller size due to slow to trim and qty on bushes. Still much better than store bought.
Back to working on the railings today and the rest of week. Ready to move scaffolding. DH working with the horses.
Not sure if I shared these photos. Sorry if redundant. :p like I said... obsessing.

It rained all day here. Sometimes lightly and sometimes pretty heavily. Hubby got the gutters up on the smaller coop yesterday but did not move the big barrel under the opening. I put a small 5 gallon bucket under it last night and it is overflowing from the rain today.
We ran a bunch of errands and then picked up my Mom to take her out for dinner.
I saw her last Tuesday ( when I went to the surgeon with her) and she was walking pretty well and not in much pain ( other than her back). Today she could barely walk and was in extreme pain! Especially when sitting down, getting up or turning corners. I told her to call the surgeon back ASAP tomorrow and report her symptoms to him. Something isn't right!
My oldest brother is wondering if she may have an infection on her knee. I hadn't even thought of that. I'll call her tomorrow to make sure she called the doctor and see what he said.
Tomorrow we are suppose to have more rain all day and then change over to snow around 9 PM. High of 40 low of 30. Then Wednesday they are calling for snow with a high of 35 and a low of 21. After that it starts warming back up. Next Monday will be the warmest with a high of 58. Not quite as nice as the past weekend, but getting there.
