What did you do in the garden today?

OK I'll fess up. Sometime last Monday I winged my back out of whack. I have NO idea what I did or when. It didn't hurt until Monday night. It's a nerve or a disk or something. Feels better up moving around or sleeping, sitting bolt upright is yikes - like in the truck. Or picking up something heavy at chest level. Good glory in the morning.

It is slowing me down a little. Ya that's me being slowed down.

So I'm going to get this week's bread made, finish the laundry, get some classwork done, and then sit here and knit. (Already fed the critters) Then make the beds and such. Slowly. LOL.
That's the worst, it can have a big impact on things. Feel better!

Good morning all. Yesterday was another nice day. Warm in the high 50's and sunny. It didn't freeze last night so ice melt continuing, thank goodness. The largest puddle has seeped into the ground. Warm in the high 40's today with overnight rain. There's still snow / ice covering my raised garden beds but I'm sure that will be gone by tomorrow morning. The wild turkeys went strolling up the hill behind my picket fence. They always make me laugh. I haven't decided on what I will tackle today. I need to work on installing a brooder outside, but still not clear in my mind how I want to do it. I'm sure I'm over thinking it. I took a picture of my leek sprouts. They are coming along nicely. It's still another 2 weeks before I will start anything else. Hoping for good weather for all. Have a great day.

Good morning gardeners. @karenerwin I hope your mom gets some help and good news from her surgeon :fl I walked around the garden yesterday but not much else. Pulled a few weeds and realized it's probably time to put some soil in the potato bags, will get that done this afternoon. The hibiscus looks terrible, I hope it'll recover. The leaves are droopy but I gave it some super thrive before we got our last rain. In the new garden area there's a metal pipe in concrete, no idea what it was for and we aren't going to be able to remove it. I'm going to surround it with a trellis and grow climbing flowers for the pollinators, maybe some morning glories. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning gardeners! It got cloudy last night so that helped to keep it mild over night. Going to be near 50 today but cloudy and damp with off an on rain. The cold and windy for the remainder of the week here. Ordered some seeds from Johhny's yesterday so hopefully I'll be able to start some of my cold season crops soon. My pansies that sprouted are having mixed reaction but I'm trying to hold out hope!

Aloha Gardeners!
Wow, this thread moves fast! Great to see garden fences and tilling...
Girls are laying great- I got eggs galore. All happy and healthy and loving the new rooster.
My zucchini has powdery mildew probably because i have been covering it with a sheet at night and it looks sad. I will spray with baking soda and trim.
If you have any plants that haven't shown signs of PM yet, Regalia works great to help prevent it and its OMRI labeled for natural or organic growing methods. But it on'y helps as a pre-breakout treatment.

Wow, this thread moves fast! Great to see garden fences and tilling... everything looks absolutely fantastic!!!
Waimea town celebration was wrapped up on Sunday. We enjoyed a few baseball games, rodeos, fundraising dinners. Good fun.
The last few days I have been obsessing over new chicks, raking moonscapes, trapping wild chickens (and relocating) and some watering of garden. It's almost hot again already
:( :hmm :(

Already picked a few tomatoes.- awesome! -though they are on the smaller size due to slow to trim and qty on bushes. Still much better than store bought.
Back to working on the railings today and the rest of week. Ready to move scaffolding. DH working with the horses.
Not sure if I shared these photos. Sorry if redundant. :p like I said... obsessing.

Adorable! We all obsess over chicks I think ;)

I am going into another freeze. I'm happy I get the garden fence done for the most part while the weather was bearable. We'r ate expecting snow today. It will likely be several inches over the next 36 hours. I heard on the radio last night that there's 10-13 inches possible within 10 miles of Lake Michigan, so Chicago proper and some suburbs are getting the worst of it. Being further west of the city I am not sold to get hit that bad, but I still have to commute into the city for work.
