Frigid for us but the sun is going to warm us close to 80 from the last time I paid attention to the forcast. Today is supposed to be our last cool day in the foreseeable future back to sweating buckets after Friday morning :(. I need to make more prickly pear fence but won't until my new gloves come in to HD. Getting tired of the inflamed joints from the stickers going through the cheapo gloves. So have my hopes pinned on these things making the job a bit better:

Good morning gardeners. Did someone say "snow?" Yes we got about an inch of wet, sloppy snow. More in the weekend forecast, up to 3 inches. AAAAARRGH! :idunno:he Good grief! Glad I haven't planted all that much yet. I received one of my HD orders yesterday but no sign of the HC. I'm not getting a good feeling about this. All the rush to start raising chickens may have inundated the HC supply chain. My little Lingonberry plants who are eagerly awaiting life in the big garden are biding their time and putting out new growth so they must be happy. I'm concerned with my mini bay laurel plant which seems alive, but hasn't changed at all since it arrived how many weeks ago? I did a lot of heavy lifting yesterday so no plans to do anything too physical today, just rest and watch the snow melt. So on the topic of neighbor dogs, I'm right there @AllenK RGV. I have no patience with negligent dog owners. When I did have dogs they were not allowed to poop in my front yard. Something had to be sacred. So when a "neighbor" would walk their dog ang use my front yard as a potty, I was livid. So, attacking your chickens? Do what ever you need to do. Perhaps trapping the poor dog and calling the local dog pound. Just a thought. Thanks again for the pictures @TropicalBabies. Your little chickies are delightful. Have a great day everyone. Here's what I woke up to:

I do not miss the snow in April ( I grew up in upstate New York, essential south Canada). The weather in Atlanta has been pretty chilly at night, so I'm still waiting to take my most precious seedlings out of the greenhouse and plant them. I spent yesterday pushing 6 yards of mulch around. Of course, 6 yards of mulch was a gross underestimation of how much I actually needed so I had to get another 10 yards, and they are 8 days out for delivery. So I have beds that look half-nice.

What's mulch cost by you? I was a bit shocked by the numbers. I need to order 10 yds soon too.
