Was a bit lazy dug up 3 10 gallon root pouches worth of dirt and transplanted over three pineapple plants I protected inside the house any time the forecast was calling for 45-50's. We did the the pineapple drag a few times overwinter but they all made it. Hopefully, I'll see fruit in late summer judjing by the size of the plants. I'm also experimenting with my grow mixtures one is pure silt type soil as we have here. The other was 1:1:1 native soil:Chicken gritotting:mix I'm sure the latter will produce better fruiting conditions.

Late edit: that was the only agave pup I found so it got transplanted today as well.

I found a local charity that will accept my backyard eggs. Yay! They put together boxes of food for seniors so they don't have to go into the grocery stores.

Well, morning i will reinforce the fence, and after that i will can return to my summer-kitchen building, it will be a kitchen with a smokehouse, a small Asian oven for baking cakes, a pizza oven and a place for frying barbecue. While I am making the foundation of this building, it will be made of foam blocks (material similar to brick). The ovens i will make of bricks and clay, we have a good clay here.

Wow! That is truly impressive @Pasha838. And like @igorsMistress mentioned, I can't wait to see pics!! And of the goats too my husband and I want to adopt but need to reinforce our area first so the predators can't get to them.

Keep those awesome pics coming -- along with the food you make in the new kitchen!!! Especially if it involves pizza

But new fountain will be bigger and the idea will be another - one stone duck spit water and one small waterfall, flowers near of the fountain, and small, cheap fish (used to live in russian climate, i don`t know now the correct name of this fish, this is "karas", "taranka", "koryushka" or something like that. This fish-question i leave on next time, when i will finish the fountain )

Evening All!

Besides work-work, day was spent cutting, splitting, and storing wood as the rain is moving in this evening and lasting for a few. I also can't believe how many weeds we have! Going to have to bust out the weed whacker soon. Argh. I don't like that thing, and it doesn't like me

In addition, brought some of our plants and all seedlings inside to keep warm. Last thing they need is a cold shower

Had to treat my kale and other leafy greens for aphids. I hate how those buggers congregate in the tiniest of spots. Then I have to go around with Q-tips and a bowl of H20 an hour or so after I treat and spot-wipe the leaves. Slimy varmints!!

But I am eggscited about my find yesterday! I love asparagus so I felt like I struck gold. Ha! There were a few stalks that needed to be pulled immediately (edit: cut at the base - thank you @karenerwin for noticing my typo!) but I left several that haven't come to fruition.

I hope you didn't really PULL up the asparagus!! To harvest asparagus you cut the stalk off just below the dirt level. Then the stalk regrows over and over again giving you many harvests!

I am foreigner and english language "studied" only by cine, cartoons, and computer games (in my childhood learned in one simple country shool where was only fields, piglets and cows, there was one teacher of foreign languages, but she spoke only german and french, and after that i studied normal only german, another languages i know a little, but speak width much mustakes and sometimes don`t know some words). Well, can you translate, what is "IgorsMistress"? I know what is "Mistress", but the word "Igors" i can`t find, what is it? This is any fowl, or any animals, any people, or any name, or what?? I see you in this forum more as two or tree years, always want to ask, but always shy ))

Igor is a persons name. Here it is usually associated with the monster Frankenstein. Igor was the name of the "assistant" to Dr. Frankenstein, who created Frankenstein's monster. But yes she is in a relationship and I assume that his name is either Igor or he or both of them just really like monsters.

No, I cut the stalk off just below dirt level. I've had asparagus growing in a huge container medium for several years now...but this stuff we found on the fly. I am so eggscited I used the wrong terminology. But I'm glad you said something because some folks might read that and think its OK to pull it up. LOL!!!

I covered all of my young fruit trees and bushes. I am hoping this will be our last freeze.
I want to try growing potatoes in a 5 gallon bucket but have hesitated in getting them planted because I don't want them to freeze!
