What did you do in the garden today?

Good afternoon gardeners. I got the chip drop this morning

I've already moved some into the yard but have to wait until later to move any more, it's way too hot out there for shoveling in the sun. I didn't put any restrictions on wood type and unfortunately this has mesquite in it which can be a bad thing as it can prevent some plants from growing. I'm going to spread in the xeriscape area and the rest of the yard but not in my food or shade gardens. Which is fine, I can use the hay I hadn't spread yet instead. I'll be out there early tomorrow morning to work on it until I start the money making job and hopefully finish it off Saturday morning. If there's any left over I'm going to put it my compost pile, it'll help to keep the pile warm this winter and break down what's in there already. I found one of the oleanders leaning over with a few roots exposed so that needs work too. My daughter got me these terra cotta spikes for my succulents so they don't run out of water in the heat. Not my drink bottles, I prefer a good martini or Jack and coke.

My roses should ship soon so I need to decide on where to dig the hole for planting. They're going in the shade garden to train up the trellis in the middle but not sure which side to plant it on. Anyway, have a great evening everyone.

So let's get technical. Lime juice is not citric acid (powder).

citric acid
[ˌsitrik ˈasəd]

NOUN
chemistry
  1. a sharp-tasting crystalline acid present in the juice of lemons and other sour fruits. It is made commercially by the fermentation of sugar and used as a flavoring and setting agent.
Citric acid is used in place of lemon juice or vinegar or lime juice to prevent the growth of botulism in your home canned goods. Flavor profiles vary depending which one you choose to use in your recipe.
My brain read lemon...she DID say lime. LOL.
