I took a couple of pictures today as I walked past the garden, top is my small fall garden, bok choy (stupid auto correct is trying for me call it box ahoy) is looking good, Collards getting eaten by pests, swiss chard didn't Germinate... actually 2 did but you can't see them in the picture. I popped in a couple of green onion bulbs and stuck them between the BOKCHOY.

Below that is a Jalapeño turning red, I realize they have more heat and flavor before they turn red but I want red peppers just because I can. That pepper and others are in my crock pot right now cooking in chicken broth and a chicken brest fillet... chicken taco night tonight.

Don't you just love auto correct...
My jalapenos are turning red too. Your garden looks great!

BTW @NewBoots, the salsa recipe in my Ball Canning Cookbook doesn't call for citric acid since you add a boatload of lime juice.
I'll have to run to the store for limes, I have been craving salsa. Paul Newman's is pretty good but to have home made will be great!

I love those, that deep purple is my favorite color. Yours are beautiful!

Good afternoon gardeners, we just finished a late lunch of zuc fritters and eggs. It was late because this was rabbit processing day but that's done now. We've decided that since you aren't supposed to breed rabbits in the hottest time of the year, we'll start raising meat birds of some kind over the summer. Not this year but next summer for sure.

The ladies woke me at 7 am with egg songs, laying is still erratic but they're all beginners so I can be patient. Harvested cherry and slicing tomatoes, couple of zucs and 2 delicata squash. Not sure I'll plant them next year, they didn't produce much but that might be mostly my own fault for planting them in the wrong place.

Earlier today, DP walked to one of our neighbors who picks the wild blueberries and huckleberries and bought 2 pounds of wild huckleberries. They're rough cleaned but I'll be doing the final cleaning for a couple of hours just as soon as I'm done posting. I'll research good uses for them since I've never had any to work with before. I'm so excited!
