Good morning all. Yes, @Sueby they will get to be excellent little poopers before you know it. Up early today. 45F when I rolled out of bed. No garden plans for the day, Yesterday I picked more green beans, an okra and two little tomatoes. My pellets arrived yesterday afternoon. My garage is stuffed with pellets now. My Gala apple tree has shipped and is scheduled to arrive on Friday. So I guess I know what I'm doing on Saturday. I'll likely start the garden clean-up next week. I'm letting the lima beans go until they die. I still have chard and carrots coming so I'll keep those in the ground as long as possible. And I'm sorry to hear you don't like chard @Sueby. I love it. I even eat it raw sometime. This has been my first year with harvesting so much chard and I have really enjoyed it. I have some errands to run today so I'll need to head out soon. I need to figure out how to put the gardens to bed so as to encourage the bugs to either die or go elsewhere. I was wondering if some DE might work if mixed with the top layer of soil and mulch/cardboard cover. The marigolds have not done a thing to repel bugs. They are all huge and healthy. I'll take a picture later. Gotta run. Have a great day all.

I spread 100 pounds of alpaca manure on the garden rows this morning. I need another 100. But we're about to get 2 inches of rain over 4 days, so it will have to wait.

I'll probably get compost soil from the county for on top of that for winter in October, when the weather cools off some. It's a hot job.

I have 4 old window/screen frames that are about 2.5x4 feet each and I think I'll build those into an arched bean row topper. But after the rains.

A raccoon has been climbing the fence every few days, always the night after I water the trees, to dig for grubs.. I turned on the motion sensor alarm a couple days ago and last night it triggered when it left, not when it arrived so I was up at 4am for nothing, raccoon is still not afraid of me, and more of my good green figs are gone.

I got 10 jars of dilly beans canned today. I'm done canning for a couple weeks till we do Christmas jam. The pepper flakes I did are HOT! DH & I went into coughing fits when I broke it apart last night. For like 45 mins.

I know you didn't want any extras. Hopefully it's a girl, and you just love her. I imagine they were afraid 1 would die in transit and then you'd be short.
