What did you do in the garden today?

Raining out, hope it clears up a bit so I can continue trying to combine all my multi mulch bins, get them coordinated and a few totes of, Ok this is ready to use, and the OK this needs a few more months, all in one tote, instead of spread out across a dozen or so. If it's raining, screw that ill stay inside where its warm and snuggle the rottentoo, who is also warm. He doesn't realize it but the only reason I am nice to him and hug him is because he's cuddly and warm :😉: The day he does figure it out ill probably lose a finger or so :p

@chickengr I'm so sorry about the dogs. That's just awful. :hugs

& @NewBoots I'm sorry Amelia isn't doing well. What breed is she? Sometimes laying is so hard on these little birds. :hugs to you as well.

Raining out this am. Day 4 of Corid for the littles, hopefully they're doing well. I wish they'd roost already so it'd be easier to look at their poops - it's hard stalking them around the run in the rain. :lau
OH there's an image. I can just imagine your neighbors, standing in their windows, cup of coffee in hand watching you mirror teenage chickens and watching them poop... in the rain.
"Ethyl, WTH is she doing?"
"I don't know. Is she trying to catch it?"
"Do you suppose she's becoming ONE with them, like Jane Goodall, but with chickens? Learn their language and habits?"
"But it's raining?!?!"
"Well, we have two choices. You could hold my coffee and I'll get the fishing net and call the nutter wagon, or we can just stand here and watch her, which is free."
::Looking at rain pouring down::
"Well, this is better than anything on television. Un-mute, Crack the window so we have the sound track too."

Yep, totally! My neighbor must think I'm nuts. Every time I walk out the back door I say hi to the ladies, use their names & make fun of their feathers or something & thank them for the eggs - then I realize she's out there walking her dog. :gig I'd say at this point she doesn't just think I'm nuts - she KNOWS it. LOL

Thankfully she can't hear me inside all day long talking to the dog like he's a person.

I went out yesterday to do my morning chicken check & saw something GIANT had marked on the side of the shed wall next to the coop. I started freaking out because it was so high up & so much urine - I was thinking bear maybe? Or a bobcat? Could they spray that high up? Do bears pee standing up or mark with urine? So I go in & make DH put pants on & come outside, walk him over to the shed & show him. He starts laughing & tells me that was HIM! :gig :lau He had to go & then realized he was in view of the neighbors house so he turned & peed all over my shed. :he I feel better...I guess? LOL

Any other sewers out there??
Garden chores are done for me until seed starting in February (unless you count the hyacinth bulb and last year's pointsettia in the the kitchen).
I spend the winter sewing and knitting and weaving. I wandered to the local charity shop this morning and hauled home stuff on clearance that will be upcycled for its fabric. If I don't share I'll bust, but only another sewist would get it.

I don't sew but I do felt. At least I did, I haven't felted much since we've been at the new place. I should make a bunch of the sleeping mice, easy and fast and good for gifts.
