My maters have blight, so spent the evening trimming off affected fronds....probably spread it even further while doing so. Time will tell what happens there.
I was going to trellis some pumpkin and squash vines but when I moved one to get it ready to place a trellis, I noted it had several feeder roots down all along the vine that I had inadvertently torn up. I'm thinking those are pretty important and could be more so if the weather gets dry, so I'm going to leave those vines along the ground for a ways before I place them up the trellis. That should give them several places along the vine to mine for nutrients and moisture while still allowing the vine to travel upward if it likes.
