What did you do in the garden today?

Does any one know why tomatoes seem to do great...get a couple tomatoes and then just wilt away? So frustrating but it happens a lot! Do I need to fertilize more?

Need more information. What does the foliage look like? I'm guessing you have some sort of blight. Do a google search for tomato diseases, and you'll probably find a pic to match what you're seeing in your garden. Are they getting enough water?

Hi all. does anyone have any great ideas for a windfall of cucumbers (aside from pickling)? I can't stand the thought of them going to waste! Can chickens eat them?

Yes, and they will thank you. If letting the birds have them, I like to let them ripen (get big and yellow). They will have a larger seed cavity, and the birds really enjoy those seeds. Share them with friends. Sell them at a make shift roadside stand. If they are not hybrid, you can ripen them and save seed for next year.

Foliage just sort of wilts and droops without classically drying up or turning colors. No spots or anything.
There has been a ton of rain and not as many plants have died as last year. It's just very weird. Healthy one day and start to shrivel the next. Seen this happen to all my cukes this year.

I like to make Chinese cucumber salad. There're several recipes on the Internet. Granted that's not a canning recipe but for fresh eating

Thanks. I wish I cold take more credit. These impatiens reseed and come back year after year on their own. An awesome nursery here grows these gorgeous ferns that we get each spring. I pretty much just fertilize and water and stay out of the way. I have drip irrigation so even that is just the turn of a knob.
