What did you do in the garden today?

Never in my life has it entered my mind to grow peanuts! Probably not possible here, but I'm gonna hafta google that!

I watered stuff - it's so dry I had to water the morning glory vines. The soaker hoses are going now & I ordered some more. My plan was to have a water system in place by this point, but I just keep adding onto the garden so I keep saying I'll do it next year. So next year...

I pulled the rattlesnake pole beans - ick. I bet they make a much better dried bean. @Acre4Me do I remember that you planted some this year? Are you using them for dried or eating? I planted more purple poles in their place.

Nope! I did not plant any rattlesnake beans. I’ve never tried those, so I can’t say how they are.

Only 4 pages to catch up ..
Going to hit 90 today that is too hot for here. Birds get corn and peas frozen.. Banty aliens are in their tractor through them a few peas.

She's either got a bowed tendon or a broken leg. We've wrapped her legs up, medicated her, and she is on stall rest for at least a week. While neither is good, I'm hoping it isn't broken.

You aren't going to have a vet come check her out??

Hadn't rained for a few days. It was supposed to rain some overnight and this morning. I watered the garden yesterday afternoon to make sure we would get rain

While watering I saw several zucchini on the plant, they were about the size of my little finger. I should probably go out and pick them today or they'll be footballs tomorrow

Oh my, that one sure escaped you earlier! I find it odd, somewhat funny, that one can totally not see a huge one when looking for small ones. Sometimes it is easiest to look for hornworm turds then look on the leaves/branches above.

I do thaw at least a little bit if it’s a large cut of meat. Otherwise, not at all.

Wow, that's a big one! My chickens loooove them. & I love to watch them tear them apart.

Oh man, that's not good news. I'm sorry to hear that. Is she getting up at all? Are you going to xray it? Sorry to hear, but here's hoping it's not broken & she's up soon.

The only good thing about THW is how much chickens love them.

I sat around after watering this am, wondering why my watermelon male & female flowers don't open simultaneously, so I can't hand pollenate, and hoping that something pollenated them. I'll be sad if none of those little melons develop.
