Was it a disease? Or just lack of water because of the Climate Change push this year?
It was definitely a disease. Wilt is a problem here when the rainy season hits. It's in the soil.
We were blessed with lots of rain here in Southeast Georgia. I hardly watered for 2 months because we had rain every other day, sometimes every day. It was even nice because the rain would usually hold off until the evening so they still got plenty of sun too (maybe too much sun even with the shade cloth).
When we had dry spells I watered daily because it's HOT here and the sprinkler just doesn't work like rain does.

Even with it raining several days a week we still had temps up in the high 90s and 100s in the afternoon.
The Cherokee Purple tomato died from wilt before it got crazy hot though. I never got a tomato off of it.
