What did you do in the garden today?

Seems like all you guys must be further south than us! We have had some delectable salads with fresh garden greens, radishes, green onions and nasturium leaves or petals, but our cucumbers and tomatoes are only beginning to flower! Have a good day folks!
I live forty miles from the Canadian border. I grow my vegetables in raised beds so they produce faster than if I grew them in the cold ground.

Gardening with the girlies. They are taking care of the squash beetles for me :)

The other half of the flock is running around the yard. I only let four in at a time or they'd have everything back to dirt in no time.

Bananas are fruiting :) I have a few hands I picked from another tree I give to the girls each afternoon chilled, they love um :)

Love the bananas!

I've picked some peas, Lungo Bianco squash, Cocazelle squash and black zucchini. Had a deer stuck in the garden yesterday morning so I wasn't able to check out all of my beans, but I could see some pretty flowers coming. Winter squash looks happy so far.

I visited the garden and admired my multitude of tomatoes in the making. I see a lot of sauce in our future, which is good since my basil was chewed to the ground so I won't be making pesto.

Picking Sweet yellow cherry tomatoes, Sweet heritage Peppers, Gold Bacau beans, Soyu cucumbers, and early cabbage.

Getting ready to freeze beans and make refrigerator pickles. Going to have a bumper crop of Cinderella Pumpkins this year. They are taking over the garden! Multiple pumpkins on every vine! They are even growing ontop of my tomato hoop house!

Pumpkins growing on top of the tent house where the sunflowers are! I wonder how big they will get before they fall!

Put up four quarts of snap beans from the garden into the freezer this afternoon. Cucumbers needed harvesting along with the peppers. My youngest has been hounding me to make refrigerator pickles so I grabbed some red shallots too.

All this turns into this...

Made up a whole gallon of pickles. They will need turning everyday and will be ready to eat in a week kept in the frig, will be good for a few months.
After making the pickles, I decided to do the first two strainings of the Raspberry cordial. It's six weeks old now and smells divine. It's a tedious process and messy but oh so worth it. Made with sun ripened raspberrys from the garden, sugar, and 80 proof vodka.

One gallon strained twice gave me this...

It will need to settle for a month and I'll strain it again. If it sits in a cool dark closet for a year it improves even more.
