The Cinderella pumpkin I picked on Tuesday won top honor at the county fair! I'm so happy! And there are dozens still in the garden growing! Lots of pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread in the future.

My spaghetti squash is going nuts. The fruit are HUGE! Planted more melons and got more toms. The chamomile is flowering and I've already roasted and froze

tomatillo and peppers.

I was going to plant some melons too, but hubby said it`s probably to late. You grow them from seeds?

I am tilling my pumpkin area ( or should say hubby does it for me ) and I plant some pumpkins.

Watered the melons and straw bale garden. Picked and squished squash bugs. And found three more watermelons!

Will be digging more taters this afternoon! It's been a great year for potatoes!

I'm bummed. My garden was an epic failure this year. I'm quite sure I lost all my pumpkins. One day they looked healthy and spread out everywhere and the next they were dry and shriveled up. My tomato plants have fruit, but the bottoms are toast. I got peas throughout the spring, but never enough to make a meal. I checked carrots and they are only about 1/4" long. Melons flowered but no sign of fruit and peppers look dwarfed. Potatoes are my only hope.

Hahahahaha! I'm rift there with you this year

I walked through on my way to the car ignoring the screams of the thousands of eggplants that I don't know what to do with anymore. Also picked Basil and made pesto for supper.

Ditto. I had a frost wipe out an early March plant, then AGAIN in April, then got caught up an a mole family ripped thru and all pumpkins and squash got svb :/. Epic failure after failure this year for me

Starting over again now actually. Hubby is currently building 2 55 gal compost bins, we pulled out old soil and replaced, added sand, manure and compost, coming along great. Ready for a gall plant I hope with a better harvest .
