What did you do in the garden today?

Dammit i forgot the garlic AGAIN. I hate this mental fog I got going on lately. Hopefully this shot in the neck fixes the pain and I can start thinking and getting around better than I have been the last month. I really need a full day to do JUST garden stuff... oh who am I kidding, I need a friggin week and id still be 2 weeks behind.

Getting old sucks, getting a shot IN the neck bone sucks harder, they have to put it right under the artificial disk/flapper/kanuten slapper thingie dingie in there holding my melon sized head on top of my shoulders, which means thru the cartlidge or whatever the call it between 2 vertebrea, and then a very intense pressure like pain wave as the shot goes in. Your eyes water and you see stars, and you do it twice because they have to shoot it on each side, but hopefully if it works, in a few days, I will be in a lot less pain hopefully for another 6 months or so which is how long the last one lasted.

I usually get the ones that are tied up in smaller packages, the turkey meat, i think it's light and dark weighs about 3 to 5 lbs and is in like a rope bag. Butterball sells them. I'll smoke those with a hickory / mesquite smoke and make them into a turkey alfredo with a ton of sauce on it and oh so good !! it taste much better the second day as the smoke flavor has time to infuse into the noodles and sauce too.

We butchered 18 chickens last Sat. Aged them on ice, today was the day I seasoned them, and vacuum sealed them. We split them in half and vacuum seal each half, so 36 halves. But had to start and stop the process about 3x today bc of various things, so only just finished the last one a few min ago! Each chicken ( 2 halves) got a different seasoning.

Found an alive praying mantis!! On the sunny brick Wal. Looking pretty ragged, but what a bug! Still alive in November!!

Mustard going strong and spinach too (bed behind the mustard).

@Acre4Me wow! I’m impressed I can’t process more than 2 chickens in 1 day. It kills my back.
I found a recipe for a pumpkin jam. Now if I can just find some pumpkins I’m going to try it!
I was done in Poplar Bluff the last 2 days sanding floors.

After. I still have to go around all the edges and the spots in the middle were too low/ uneven for the industrial orbital sander to get.
