I saw a You Tube video where someone planted saved Super Sauce seeds and got a good harvest. He said he kept the seed line and they are very productive.A friend gave me a bunch of saved seeds from his tomatoes. One of them is called Supersauce, and he said it was MUCH better than Amish Paste. I googled it, and yup, sure enough, it's a hybrid. So my expectations went down the tube.
Has anyone ever planted seeds saved from hybrids? Did you get anything worth anything? I'm sure it depends totally on the individual hybrid, but I might just plant a few pots of this and see what I get. If I do, I'll be sure to report.
Well, I'll give them a try!I saw a You Tube video where someone planted saved Super Sauce seeds and got a good harvest. He said he kept the seed line and they are very productive.
I have a hard time transplanting lettuce, over half of them usually die. I think I have to monitor how much sun they get when I set them out. I do better with 2 seeds per rock wool cube, and snip the weaker one.Mine are starting to get tall but I don't know when I take them out of their starter pots and into something bigger
I know in the one pot I got a few growing in there I thought about seperatingI have a hard time transplanting lettuce, over half of them usually die. I think I have to monitor how much sun they get when I set them out. I do better with 2 seeds per rock wool cube, and snip the weaker one.
I would wait for them to get bigger and harden before transplanting.
